Postcard to Joan Pujol i Poch, in “Castillo de Montjuich, Enfermeria, Barcelona”, with unreadable Barcelona roller postmark and text on the back of December 12, 1938. Handwritten note “20 palabras”, which shows that the postcard was returned to sender for exceeding the allowed lenght of the text that could contain.

Barcelona, 7 . 12 .1938
Queridísimo Juan: Tengo de comunicarte que hoy hemos sabido por condicto del Sr. abogado que el resultado del fallo médico es que los dos habéis salido “servicios familiares”, diferente grado que no ha podido decirnos por confundirlos. Ahora mi Juan espero más que nunca poder abrazarte muy pronto y para siempre. Muchos besos y abrazos de tu Teresina.
Translation:
Barcelona, december 7, 1938
My dearest Juan: I must tell you that today we have known, through the lawyer, that the result of the medical examination is that both have been considered “family services”, a different grade he has not been able to clarify due to a confusion.
